福建聚会 Hokkien Ministry

建部的开始是在1996年一个感恩晚宴上。当时Joyce牧师回忆起神在她身上显现奇迹般的医治 和5位在当时认识与接受主耶稣为个人的救主。

过后，神给我们开始福建聚会的异象。我们体会到神的真言：“神用祂的方式行事，让我们体验 祂无限的大能。神在祂完美的时间里，带领我们在1997年正式开始福建的聚会。

回顾这些年来，感谢神给于我们无尽的恩典。在莫利亚教会服事八年后，福建事工在2005年一 月迁移到锡安全备福音教会。我们感激莫利亚教会的领袖们在过去的 几年内给于我们的扶持与 协助。当教会继续紧握着神的异象要我们成为“增长，发光，有行动”的教会，福建事工将补助这 异象。由Joyce牧师带领的福建部，同工包括：林搌望弟兄，张珊珊姐妹，周玉珍姐妹，陈少虎 弟兄，黄莲丝姐妹以及汤丽风姐妹。有他们的热诚，祷告，耐心与恒心。福建部凭着信心仰望主 的带领，一齐向前进

The seed bed of the Hokkien Ministry was birthed through a small thanksgiving dinner gathering in 1996 at Moriah Assembly of God. Pastor Joyce Yeo recalls in a testimony of God's miraculous healing on her life and five people gathered in that meeting came to acknowledge Jesus as their personal Saviour. As we did not have a suitable follow-up ministry, these new converts were then referred to other churches. However, we learnt that this made some new converts less at ease.

The vision for a dialect service was the starting point. After a fair bit of struggling to find suitable co-labourers and overcoming the language barrier, we tasted the truths of the wise saying, that "God's work done in His way, will experience His resources". With perfect timing, God provided us with a network of friends from other churches to help kickstart the ministry in 1997 and now, the ministry looks back with thanksgiving for what He has blessed us with. After 8 years of ministry at Moriah Assembly of God, the Hokkien ministry moved to ZFGC on 1 January 2005. Much appreciation goes to the leadership at Moriah for their support during the past years.
The ministry has its focus set to reach the Hokkien dialect speaking group and the warm fellowship has even led to other dialect groups participating with us. As the church continues to embrace the vision to "Grow, Glow and Go", the Hokkien Ministry sees itself to complement this vision.

The Hokkien Ministry led by Pastor Joyce has a motivated committee looking into hospitality, worship, discipleship and visitation. The team comprises Bro William Lim, Sis San San, Bro Daniel, Sis Nancy Lim, Sis Chow Yoke Chan and Sis Thng Lay Hong. Through the dedication of these servants, the Hokkien Ministry is trusting the LORD to lead them forward in wonderful ways!
